Ever wonder the truth about Henry VIII and his six queens? Well I did and this book tells us all about this. I bought this book for free because it sounded interesting. I was right about that because it was one of the best free books that I have ever bought for my kindle. I stayed up all night last night reading it and couldn't put it down until it was finished. I loved the secrets that all the six wives of Henry the 8 had. Really interesting about who the real father of Prince Edward was. Also interesting that one of the wives was a three time black widow. One wife gave birth to a son before she married King Henry. One wife had a very powerful sex drive which was too powerful for the Tudor day and age. Really interesting about the true story of the Princes in the Tower. Loved how all six of Henry's queens were described. Also loved Gloriana especially when Dolly the main character met her for the first time and she called a spitfire. It's all about the red hair. It was really funny how Dolly believed that Elizabeth of York, Margaret Beaufort, Kat Ashley, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary, Lady Jane Grey the Nine Day Queen, and all the other queens were supposedly actors who were reneacting the Tudor era in a play for her on the day of her bachelorette party since she was after all a History professor who was very interested in Tudor history. I loved the love story between Dolly and the guy who she let get away. It seems that it is true what people say about the first love is the most important. Interesting about one queen and the truth of her love story, that she was a lesbian and that she really cheated on Henry when history says that she was virtuous and religious. Interesting that one queen was really a witch whose father was a warlock and another queen dabbled in witchcraft. This book makes you laugh, cry, and I have to say that I recommend this book for everyone who loves Tudor history to read. This author JoAnn Spears has written an amazing novel. I hope that she will continue to write more interesting novels. Maybe a sequel? Good job on an interesting novel. Good luck on all JoAnn's future novels.
